There is a time and space for meetings, activities and experimentation in which new communities are created, spaces and relationships are being rediscovered around new cultural proposals, around new opportunities for sociability and learning that intercept new and old, near and far, local and international audiences. This time and space are the temporary uses, which accompany urban regeneration interventions by opening new ways of dialogue with citizenship, prototyping new functions co-designed by the public that uses them, effectively re-inhabiting a space, even a private one, in a public way.
A workshop guided by experts, starting from the case of Manifattura Tabacchi, which presents the first socio-cultural impact results of 5 years of temporary uses, to a more general reflection on methods and impact indicators in urban regeneration, spanning from risks to opportunities.
